The small Waikato town of Kihikihi has a powerball winner, and I am sure you can imagine the excitement in the small town. $5.5 million is a lot of money indeed, it is life changing.
The winning ticket was bought from the Kihikihi Bookshop and people want to know who the lucky person is. At the time of reporting this, the winner had not yet revealed themselves, but as you can imagine it would be awesome if it is someone local who had won.
People are getting lucky, as the jackpot before was won by a lucky couple, at $6.5 million. This couple from Auckland became millionaires by winning the Powerball prize, but after their flight they had to catch a bus at the airport to collect what would be the biggest prize of their entire lifetime.
